Don't mention the C word!!! We know it's probably a little early to
mention the C word, but we need to let you all know that we are now
taking orders and bookings for our Christmas products and workshops. If
you would like to order anything Christmas and flower related
from us, do let us know as soon as possible. Whether you require door
wreaths, garlands, amaryllis trees, candle arrangements or anything
else, we can deliver these to you right up to Christmas Eve. Or if you
prefer to have a go yourself and would like one of our "make at home"
kits ... no problem! We also offer guidance with your
creations, our floristry tuition is flexible, there is no set date as we
work around you. Most of the fresh materials you need can be found in
the garden or hedgerows so this really helps to keep costs down! We can
come to your home or chosen venue for a one to one or with your friends
for some pre-Christmas fun, or at your chosen venue for larger groups
and clubs. We also offer tuition to children, something like this cute

Do you live and/or work in Chalgrove? Then read on ... ! As many of you know, ten months ago we moved our business from Yarnton in North Oxford, where we had been for two years, to our home village of Chalgrove in South Oxfordshire. We have been running the business online since then, the change was due to a decrease in "shop" customers and the increase in online and telephone orders. Blog apologies! We just want to apologise for the lack of blogness since Easter, we have been very busy with the wedding season now upon us. However, the biggest problem is the time it takes to update on the website as opposed to the quick and easy task of updating our Facebook page. It's a bit of a faff to be honest. However, we are in the process of copying our recent Facebook posts onto this blog so look out for those. If you are a Facebook user, our page www.facebook.com/oxfordflowers is updated daily so keep checking there to find out what we've been up to and to view lots and lots of photos! Spring has sprung!! At last, Easter is just about here and the sun is just about out, long may it last! We love this time of year, it's all about beautiful spring flowers and chocolate ... isn't it? Don't worry, we know for alot of people it means alot more than that, but whatever your reasons for celebrating Easter, we hope you all have a fantastic weekend whether it be with friends and family or just munching your choccie eggs in front of some Bank Holiday telly! Cakes!!!! We are delighted to be helping a great local business, Shand's cakes, by promoting their fantastic range of cakes for Valentine's Day. These cakes

Shop. Obviously, we think flowers and cake are a match made in heaven

Make a big impression for less money this Valentine's Day!  You may have noticed that some florists, especially those in the busier areas, are charging a huge amount for red roses this year. And if you buy from a relay service this can be as much as a third more! You
don't have to spend a small fortune just to show someone you care. If
you're thinking about sending flowers to your Valentine then please do give us a call, or take a look
at our Valentine's Day album on Facebook (the link is just to the left of this blog). Or, if you prefer, browse our order online section right here on our website. There are many different options to
choose from if you're looking to make a real statement on Valentine's Day. Sometimes a lovely mixed bouquet of quality, long
lasting, gorgeous flowers can make much more of an impact than red
roses. Not that we don't love the traditional red
rose, but with all the florists bidding for the same flower at auction,
they are bound to shoot up in price in the weeks to come. Even just
mixing a few red roses in with other flowers rather than going for an
all red rose bouquet can save you money. Or why not go for a rose
bouquet in pinks and creams? So don't rush to the supermarket
